Newcastle United have clinched the signing of Bohemians goalkeeper Reece Byrne.
The 18 year-old announced his transfer on social media last night.
Byrne has posted snaps of him at Newcastle's academy and shared a picture of his contract signing on Instagram. He wrote 'proud day for me and my family to sign for such a big club like Newcastle, onwards and upwards from here'.
Byrne is an U19 Republic of Ireland international.
He will link up with fellow Republic of Ireland youth international Alex Murphy, and is United's first signing of the summer as the academy overhaul continues.
