Manchester United are set to announce the signing of Cardiff City teen Gabriele Biancheri.
The Athletic reports the 16 year-old striker completed a medical over the weekend.
He has competed for Wales at the Under 17 international level.
Initially, he will sign a scholar contract and then a long-term professional deal when he turns 17 in September.
While the deal did not need to be completed before tomorrow's deadline, Biancheri has been on the radar of a number of clubs including Chelsea, hence United's eagerness to complete a deal.
Biancheri also qualifies to play for England and Italy on the international stage.
