Former West Ham United winger Ossama Ashley has joined Colchester United on a free transfer.
The 22-year-old has been on trial with the U's before signing an initial one-year contract.
He told the club's website: "I'm a physical player, I get around the pitch, I'm very hardworking and I leave everything out there."
