Granada have signed Corinthians defender Bruno Mendez.
The Uruguay international arrives on a free transfer ahead of registering formally on January 1.
Mendez becomes the first official signing of new Granada sporting director Matteo Tognozzi. Tognozzi left Juventus as chief scout for Granada last month.
Gomez, 24, has six caps for the senior Uruguayan national team.
After the first half of the season, Granada currently sit second from bottom of the LaLiga table.
