Daniel Arzani has signed for Macarthur FC after being released by Manchester City.

Arzani has signed for A-League side Macarthur FC after enduring a disappointing four-year spell as a Manchester City player.

When City signed the then 19-year-old attacker from fellow City Football Group club Melbourne City, they were bringing in arguably the most exciting young talent in Australian football.

The teenager had enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in 2017/18, one that ended with him becoming the youngest player to represent Australia at the World Cup when he travelled to Russia in 2018.

City immediately sent Arzani on a two-year loan to Celtic, but he ruptured his ACL on his debut for the Scottish giants. Since then, he has bounced from loan to loan, at the likes of Utrecht, Aarhus and Lommel.
