Newcastle United have reached terms with Central Coast Mariners for Garang Kuol.
The highly-rated striker has gained interest from the likes of Barcelona and Stuttgart with his performances in Australia.
But the Toon appear to have won the battle for his signature.
Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie states the Magpies have reached an agreement with Kuol's club Central Coast Mariners.
The transfer would see the 18-year-old move to Newcastle on January 1 before being loaned out elsewhere in Europe.
Kuol is now set to jet into the North East for Toon talks.
