Svilar has joined Roma on a free transfer and arrives to act as cover for senior No1 Rui Patricio.
The Serbia international has long been admired by Roma coach Jose Mourinho.
The 23 year-old is understood to have signed a deal with Roma to 2027.
Svilar had spent five years with Benfica before this summer's departure.
