Villarreal have signed Barcelona midfielder Ilias Akhomach.
Akhomach moves to Villarreal on a free transfer and has signed a four-year contract.
The midfielder was set to join Leeds United in England before their relegation from the Premier League last season.
Akhomach was a regular with Barca Atletic last season, having tasted first team football the previous campaign.
He will begin the season with Villarreal B, though with assurances he will have the chance of first team promotion.
