Kota Kinabalu: The Fook Tet Kung Temple in Donggongon will host the region’s Thai Pak Kung deity jamboree that will see Thai Pak Kung (Tua Pek Kong) temple delegates not only from Malaysia but also abroad.

Hence, the event will bring many visitors to Donggongon and boost the local economy for the duration of the celebration since the temple was opened on Jan 2, 2006, and boost tourist arrival figures for Sabah, particularly from Kalimantan to reciprocate Sabahan visitors’ journey to Singkawang in 2022.

Last year, Thai Pak Kung deity jamboree was held at the Vihara Thai Pak Kung in Singkawang, West Kalimantan, Indonesia where hundreds of faithful and Thai Pak Kung deity temples delegates from Malaysia, including Sabah attended the event some eight hours by road from Kuching.
