The newly launched PADU system has been generating buzz over its call for database effectiveness, but not all are in favour of its “convenience”.

For the Department of Statistics (DOSM) Selangor, its recent tweet has landed the agency in hot waters.

Showing a photo of an 84-year-old man walking in for PADU registration all on his own, angered netizens have slammed DOSM for not creating an easier access for the elderly to register.

Calling it inconvenient, most commenters agreed that PADU personnel should’ve instead gone door-to-door for households who don’t have the means to walk-in.
