A 22-YEAR-OLD female student had fallen to her death at a separate block of a condominium complex in Kuala Lumpur late Wednesday.
The female student’s father, identified as Jeff Ho, lodged a police report alleging that his daughter, a third-year public relations student who was set to graduate at the end of the year, could have been a victim of bullying.
Ho stated he was informed by the condominium management that his daughter had fallen from the 22nd floor on Wednesday (Aug 20).
"I was told by her friends that other students at her university had been mentally bullying her. There had been pressure from her friends due to a difference in opinions," he said.
Ho added that his daughter had complained about the matter to her siblings. It was then learnt that a previous attempt was also thwarted after security guards saved her from falling from her home just last week.
The father lodged a police report at the Wangsa Maju District Police Headquarters (IPD).
He also noted that his daughter, the second of three siblings, had previously complained about the pressure she faced from her older and younger siblings.
"My daughter was previously saved by security guards when she was believed to have tried to jump from her residence last week," he said, adding, "I hope the authorities will investigate this incident. I do not want any other individual to become a victim."
The victim's body was taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) for a post-mortem.
Wangsa Maju District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Lazim Ismail, when contacted, said he would issue a statement regarding the case.
Earlier, it was reported that a male university student fell to his death from the same complex.
The male student was found dead near the basketball court of the condominium at 8.30pm on Wednesday. - August 21, 2025
