LABUAN: The Labuan Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is doubtful that another economic report would serve any purpose to lift the island’s gloom, pointing out that even a high-powered Special Task Force set up to do that had been ineffective.
Its Chairman Datuk Dahlif Singh said it was enough of reports, and what is needed is action if the Government is serious in helping the island.
He recalled that a Special Task Force was formed in 2016, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi with key officials from agencies including the then Federal Territories Minister and two past and present Labuan Members of Parliament.
