Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Doyce Lee emerged champion in the girls’ Under-17 category at the 1st leg of the CIMBNJC Squash Championship held at the Nicol David Squash Centre, Penang from July 19-24.
The Bukit Jalil-based player came from a set down to beat Kuvhita Premchard of Penang 8-11, 11-8, 11-7, 11-8 in the final to lift the title.
She had earlier booked her place in the final with a four-set 11-6, 7-11, 11-8, 11-8 victory over Kedah’s Choo Yi Jie in the last four.
