
PETALING JAYA: Pejuang chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has announced that he will be defending his Langkawi parliamentary seat in the 15th general election (GE15).
However, the former premiere said questions over whether he will stand as prime minister again is not relevant at the moment.
The former prime minister had won the seat for Pakatan Harapan during the 14th general election in 2018.
He polled 18,954 votes as a Bersatu candidate under the Pakatan Harapan banner, while his rivals Nawawi Ahmad (Barisan Nasional) and Zubir Ahmad (PAS) received 10,061 and 5,512 votes respectively.
