KUALA LUMPUR – Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been allowed to return home from the National Heart Institute (IJN) after a two-week treatment of a cough.

His aide, Sufi Yusoff, told Bloomberg that the 99-year-old's health has improved and he is now allowed to “rest at home”.

Previously, Sufi told the media that the former leader had been admitted to the hospital with a cough.

The two-time former prime minister was previously admitted to IJN on January 26 for infection treatment and observation and was discharged on March 18. – July 30, 2024
