KUALA LUMPUR – Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is being investigated for asset declaration, said top graft buster Tan Sri Azam Baki.
As a result of the investigation, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) issued two of Dr Mahathir’s sons with notices to declare their assets under Section 36 of the MACC Act 2009.
“I don’t intend to go into details about the case, about their wrongdoings.
“Let MACC continue the investigation first (then) I think of a suitable time for us to announce the findings,” he told reporters after launching MACC’s branch office in Gua Musang, Kelantan today. – April 25, 2024
