Patna: Over the last few years, political discussions on social media have repeatedly brought back one name from Bihar — Dr. Rajan Raj.
Known for his work in astrology and political observation, Dr. Rajan Raj has recently drawn attention after several of his old political predictions began resurfacing online following developments in Bihar, West Bengal and Assam.
Unlike television based political commentators, Dr. Rajan Raj has largely stayed away from aggressive debate culture. His public presence has mostly been through interviews, written analysis and social media observations. However many of his followers believe that some of the political outcomes seen in recent years closely matched predictions he had shared much earlier.
One such prediction was linked to Bihar politics. At a time when the state was witnessing continuous political uncertainty Dr. Rajan Raj had reportedly stated that Nitish Kumar would continue to remain a central figure in Bihar politics and that the NDA alliance would eventually return to power. Following later political developments in the state, clips and references related to his earlier remarks began circulating again across online platforms.
A similar discussion emerged in West Bengal politics. Before political activity in the state intensified, Dr. Rajan Raj had publicly spoken about Suvendu Adhikari and described him as a leader with strong future political potential in Bengal. As Suvendu Adhikari’s prominence within state politics continued to grow, many users on social media revisited those earlier statements.
In Assam too, followers often refer to his prediction regarding Himanta Biswa Sarma becoming Chief Minister. Supporters of Dr. Rajan Raj say these forecasts have strengthened public curiosity around his political analysis.
His national visibility increased further after his article on Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeared in Power Corridors Magazine.
“The Prime Minister Modi and His Stars at Work,” an article that talked about the trends in leadership, planet transits and politics in India under PM Modi, got popular due to its coverage of astrology in conjunction with political analysis rather than prediction.
Dr. Rajan Raj has more than 21 years of experience in astrology and related studies. He holds qualifications including M.D. (Alternative Medicine), Ph.D. in Astrology and Ph.D. in Diabetes & Yogic Science. He is also a certified Gemologist from IDI, Government of India, and an International Certified Consultant associated with IAF, USA.
Over the years, he has received several honours including the Pride of Nation Award presented by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. He has also been honoured with Global Excellence Award by actress Madhuri Dixit and veteran actor Anupam Kher. In addition, ET Industry Leaders Bihar 2023 recognised him as the “Leading & Most Trusted Astrologer of Bihar.”
As conversations around political forecasting continue to grow online, Dr. Rajan Raj’s earlier observations are increasingly finding renewed attention among people closely following India’s changing political landscape.
