German giants Bayern Munich are stepping up their bid to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham.

The Bundesliga champions want to secure the centre forward to spearhead their quest for Champions League glory.

Per The Mirror, Bayern believe they are in pole position to sign Kane this summer.

The striker is refusing to sign a new deal at Spurs, while his contract expires in one year.

Manchester United are the other team with some interest in Kane, but will not pay the exorbitant fee Spurs will seek from another Premier League club.

Paris Saint-Germain also retain interest, but Kane is thought to prefer a move to Bayern.

Bayern have chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe working on the deal.
