SEMPORNA: A 21-year-old was injured after the Proton Wira he was driving skidded and crashed into a tree at Kampung Salimbangun, here, on Thursday night.
The Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said they received a distress call following the incident at 10.22pm via MERS999.
A team of seven Fire and Rescue personnel from Semporna Fire and Rescue was deployed to the scene and arrived at 10.33pm.

“The driver was successfully extricated using the rescue tools and transported to the hospital in the EMRS vehicle,” said the spokesperson. The operation ended at 11.04pm.
