Accidents happen from time to time, even at the most unexpected time and places.
This time, we’re talking about an unfortunate incident that took place at a cemetery in KL during the Qing Ming prayer. The driver was reversing the car when he stepped on the accelerator a little too hard, causing the car to crash into a gravestone.
The image was initially shared on the Facebook page 槟城吹水站 before it was eventually reshared by many netizens.
Judging from the images, the gravestone did not sustain any major damage, but we can’t say the same about the car. Despite being reshared multiple times, none of the posts specifically mentioned the exact date and time of the incident. Fortunately, no injuries nor death was reported.
The incident was shared by China Press, and many netizens couldn’t help but to joke about the incident. Some of them jokingly asked for the car registration number for gambling purposes, while others ponder about the ‘fate’ of the family for crashing into someone else’s grave.
“What’s the car registration number?”
“The driver is alive and well, why are you guys reciting ‘Amitabha’?”
“This family is doomed.”
“PM me the car registration number please.”
“Do we burn cars for our ancestors now?”
“That’s probably Grab driver going to ‘pick up’ his passengers.”
Regardless, we’re glad that no one suffered any injuries in the incident. The cost of repairs for the car is unfortunately inevitable. Do be careful and alert when you’re behind the wheels, regardless of where you are!
