Driver killed, passenger hurt in Tuaran crash

Tuaran: A driver was killed and a passenger was severely injured after the four-wheel-drive vehicle they were in collided with a lorry on the Tuaran - Kota Belud Road, Kg Bunga Tenghilan, on Friday.

The 30-year-old male driver of the four-wheel-drive vehicle was confirmed dead at the scene by medical officers from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).

Advertisement (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});Tuaran District Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Senior Assistant Fire Officer Mohd Nor Amit, said they received a call about the incident involving a 10-tonne lorry and a Ford Ranger four-wheel-drive vehicle at 5.55pm.

Eight personnel rushed to the scene with one fire truck and one Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle.

Read more “Upon arrival, we found that the lorry driver was uninjured, while the trapped driver was successfully extricated by the fire and rescue team.

“A male passenger who was seriously injured was taken to Tuaran Hospital for further treatment,” he said when contacted, Saturday.
