TAWAU: A drone-based medicine delivery system would be introduced as part of a pilot project by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and local drone technology partners.
The initiative, featured at the National Information Dissemination Centre (Nadi) booth during the Madani Rakyat Programme (PMR) officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim here, aims to enhance access to medication in remote and hard-to-reach areas.
The first phase of the project is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2025 at two selected Nadi centres, with plans to expand to 150 centres in 2026 and all 392 Nadi locations by 2027.
