Tenom: District police arrested seven people, including a woman, during a raid on a drug party at a hotel room downtown, here, on Monday.
Tenom Police Chief DSP Hasan Majid said the district Narcotics Crime Investigation Division received information about the incident at 11am.
He said three suspects tried to escape the raid led by Insp. Zulfian Velentino Silverius.
“Further inspections in the room found drugs suspected to be syabu as well as paraphernalia.

All suspects were brought to the police station for further investigation under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Hasan said all those arrested were locals from outside the district.
He urged the community to channel information about any illegal activities in the district via 087-736211.
