
BEAUFORT: Four suspected drug addicts, including a 38-year-old Sabah Welfare Department personnel and a 55-year-old teacher, were nabbed in separate arrests, here.
The other two involved an electrician and an unemployed. All four men were found with suspected syabu in their possession and tested positive for drugs.
District Police Chief Yusoff Zaki Yaccob said the Welfare Department staff was found with 1.13gm of suspected syabu worth RM150 in his possession in Restoran Fervis One Beaufort on Friday.
The second on Wednesday involved an electrician who was picked up by police at Kg Limbawang, after 5.98gm of suspected syabu worth RM600 were found in his possession.
The school teacher was detained on Thursday and the following day police nabbed a 29-year-old man suspected of distributing drugs near a bus stop in front of SMK Membakut.
The unemployed man was found with 13.47gm of suspected syabu worth about RM1,400.
Yussof Zaki advised everyone, including civil servants, to stay clear of drugs.
