
PENAMPANG: Drug tests on 18 patrons of an entertainment centre here which operated beyond permitted hours found two foreign men, 32 and 35, positive for syabu.
The integrated operation was carried out by the district’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) together with the Narcotics CID, on Thursday.
Acting Penampang District Police Chief DSP Sammy Newton said police also arrested the manager of the entertainment centre for operating beyond the stipulated hours.
He said the trio detained and items seized were taken to the district station for further investigations.

Sammy said Penampang police had conducted a total of 62 inspections on entertainment centres (Op Noda), and opened 25 investigation papers for various offences, from January to August 2023.
