DS N°8 Is Their First Dedicated All-Electric Model

The DS N°8 represents a new generation of vehicles for the luxury French brand.

DS Automobiles has unveiled its latest electric vehicle, the DS N°8, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s electrification strategy. As the first DS model designed exclusively as an electric vehicle, the N°8 showcases cutting-edge technology and innovative design philosophy. We can only hope Stellantis Malaysia finds a reason to bring this in.

Powertrain and Performance

The DS N°8 offers three electric drivetrain options:

• 230 hp front-wheel drive
• 245 hp front-wheel drive long-range
• 350 hp all-wheel drive long-range

The top-tier AWD model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, with all variants limited to a top speed of 190 km/h. The vehicle features two battery options:

• 74 kWh usable capacity (standard model)
• 97.2 kWh net capacity (long-range versions)

The most efficient model, the FWD Long Range, boasts an impressive 750 km range on the WLTP cycle, consuming 12.9 kWh/100 km. It can maintain over 500 km of range on the motorway at a constant 120 km/h.

Charging and Efficiency

Charging capabilities include:

• Maximum charge power of 160 kW
• 20% to 80% charge in 27 minutes
• 200 km range recoverable in 10 minutes
• 11 kW on-board AC charger (22 kW optional)
• Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality

The vehicle incorporates intelligent battery management, with an optional feature to limit charging to 80% to protect battery longevity.

The DS N°8 emphasizes aerodynamic efficiency with:
