
The DSA and NATSEC Asia 2026 exhibition has opened with a record number of exhibitors, featuring new national pavilions and billions in industry collaboration deals
KUALA LUMPUR: The Defence Services Asia and National Security Exhibition Asia 2026 opened today under the theme “Empowering the Capability and Resilience of Technology Miners”.
Held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, the 19th edition runs until Thursday and is scheduled to be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
This year’s event recorded a significant increase in participation, with 1,456 exhibiting companies from 63 countries.
That figure is up from 1,324 companies from 60 countries during the 2024 edition.
The exhibition marks the debut participation of defence and security firms from Croatia, Finland, Hungary, Japan and Russia.
A total of 368 Malaysian companies are featured under a new segment called the Malaysian Defence Industry Alliance pavilion.
Defence Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the ministry has presented Industry Collaboration Programme documents worth an estimated RM1.4 billion to selected companies.
He added that the programme is aimed at facilitating technology transfer and expertise development.
The event will also feature a keynote address by the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, at the Putrajaya Forum on Tuesday.
That forum is themed “ASEAN Security in the Age of Emerging Technologies”.
DSA and NATSEC Asia 2026 brings together conventional defence systems, electronic warfare technologies and internal security solutions.
It also serves as a platform to strengthen international cooperation through meetings, forums and strategic dialogue sessions.
Major participating companies include DEFTECH, ASELSAN, Turkish Aerospace Industries, MILKOR and FNSS Savunma Sistemleri.
Other notable participants are Team Defence Australia, Airbus Group, BrahMos, Beretta Defense Technologies and Weststar Defence Industries.
The exhibition is open exclusively to government officials in defence and security, industry professionals, military personnel, police and invited guests.
