CANADIAN business process outsourcing (BPO) firm NQX will invest P632 million to expand its facilities and workforce in the Philippines, with plans to create 725 jobs, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said Monday.
The expansion includes a new site in a provincial location, with Laoag, Dagupan and Legazpi under consideration, subject to final site selection. The project will support NQX’s growing contact center outsourcing, customer experience consulting, and digital solutions business.
The investment was discussed at a July 3 meeting attended by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Trade Secretary Cristina Roque, Finance Secretary Frederick Go, and NQX president and CEO John Dinardo, and global vice president for strategy and chief marketing officer Nathalie Siphengphet.
The expansion builds on NQX’s existing P1.425-billion investment in the Philippines through Quantrics Enterprises Inc.
As of April, the company employed 5,661 workers in the country, with operations in Taytay, Rizal, and Camarines Sur.
“This shows that ... the Philippines being a trusted destination for global business services. DTI stands ready to support investments that generate quality jobs, strengthen regional economies, and bring stable employment directly to the countryside,” Roque said.
The expansion demonstrates growing investor confidence in the Philippines and the Filipino workforce while helping spread economic growth through countryside job creation, Go added.
NQX, formerly Nordia in Canada and Quantrics in the Philippines, provides customer experience, business process outsourcing, AI-enabled digital solutions and consulting services. The company employs more than 8,230 people across Canada and the Philippines.
According to the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), the country’s IT-BPM industry generated about $40 billion in revenue in 2025 and is projected to reach $42 billion this year.
In 2025, bilateral merchandise trade between Canada and the Philippines was valued at $3.4 billion.
The Philippines is Canada’s sixth-largest merchandise export market in Asean, while Canada ranks 16th among the Philippines’ trading partners.
