Admissions to 73 undergraduate programmes and 150 BA Programme combinations will be conducted through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) based on CUET (UG) 2026 scores.
Along with the admission timeline, DU has also shared important instructions on subject mapping, preference filling, seat upgrades and fee payment.

Registration in 2 phases
The admission process is divided into two phases. While Phase I, which includes candidate registration and payment of the registration fee, began on June 26, Phase II starts on July 3. Both phases will remain open till 11:59 pm on July 11.
Candidates who make any mistakes while filling out the form will get a correction window from 10 am on July 10 to 11:59 pm on July 11.
Simulated ranks before seat allocation
To help students understand their chances before the actual counselling process begins, Delhi University will release simulated ranks at 5 pm on July 12.
Based on these ranks, candidates can revise or reorder their programme and college preferences between 5 pm on July 12 and 4:59 pm on July 13.
First and second allocation schedule
The first CSAS allocation list will be announced at 5 pm on July 16. Students allotted seats must accept them by July 18, while colleges will complete verification by July 20. The last date to pay the admission fee for the first round is July 21.
The second allocation list will be released at 12 noon on July 25. Candidates must accept their allotted seats by July 26; colleges will verify admissions by July 27, and the fee payment deadline is July 28.
Subject mapping mandatory
DU has made it clear that candidates can participate in Phase II only after completing Phase I.
During Phase II, students will have to map the subjects studied in Class XII with the corresponding CUET (UG) 2026 papers they appeared for. The university has said candidates should have appeared in CUET for the same or closely related subjects studied in Class XII, as required under the programme-specific eligibility criteria.
Fill in preferences carefully
Students can choose as many programme and college combinations as they are eligible for, but the university has advised them to arrange their preferences carefully since the order of choices plays a crucial role in seat allocation.
Candidates should regularly save their preferences because only saved preferences will be considered, and all choices will automatically be locked once the deadline ends.
Upgrade or freeze your seat
After accepting a seat and paying the admission fee, students will have two options: freeze the allotted seat or Upgrade to a higher preferred choice.
Candidates opting for an upgrade can reorder their higher preferences. Those allotted seats in the first round can do so until July 21, while candidates in the second round will have time until July 28.
DU has advised applicants to complete registration, fee payment and preference filling well before the deadlines to avoid last-minute technical issues.
Students have also been urged to keep checking the official admission portal for updates on further rounds of counselling and announcements.
