KOTA KINABALU: Expedition Mt Kinabalu returns for its 13th year on Aug 12, continuing a journey that began with one woman’s dream and now champions a global cause, to raise awareness and support for boys living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Organised by California-based charity Coalition Duchenne, the climb will begin with a flag-off ceremony by Sabah’s Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister, Datuk Christina Liew, at Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa.
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a rare but devastating condition that affects one in 3,500 boys globally. There is no known cure.
