Some friendships are just meant to be even if one has feathers and the other has fur.
A TikTok video posted by user @theafiey has gone viral for showing an unusually wholesome scene.
It features a duck chilling with a group of cats, casually resting its head on top of one ginger cat like it’s the most natural thing in the world.
They grew up together
Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, the OP revealed that the feathered and furry friends actually belong to her sister-in-law.
She bought the duck when it was still small. At that time, there were already kittens at home,” she said.
With no other ducks around, the little bird ended up bonding with the ginger cat and its gang instead.
“They’ve been friends since young because they always stay outside the house together. Other cats will run away if the duck comes near, but the ginger and the gang are totally fine with it,” she told us.
Kampung friendship vibes
The adorable friendship was captured at her sister-in-law’s home in Kampung Chenderong Balai, Teluk Intan, Perak.
The video, posted earlier this week, has since warmed the hearts of netizens proving that friendship knows no species.
