A DURIAN seller was remanded for three days by the Magistrate's Court in Batu Pahat today, for allegedly peeping on his female cousin while she was bathing at a house in Parit Sulong yesterday.

The remand order against the 37-year-old suspect, who is also the father of a child, was issued by Magistrate Nurasidah A Rahman from today until Friday.

At the same time, it also allows the police to investigate Section 5 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act (AKKSTKK) 2017.

According to a report, the 17-year-old female victim was bathing when her mother heard screams from inside the bathroom.

The victim told her 39-year-old mother that she had seen an unknown man before the suspect fled.

The suspect did not have time to record because his actions were noticed by the victim.

However, the victim began to suspect that the act was committed by the suspect, who was also her cousin, because there was a car belonging to the man parked near her house.

Acting on the report, the police managed to arrest the suspect at a house to assist in the investigation. – April 1, 2026
