MANILA, Philippines — The gap between the hypothetical 2028 tandem of Vice President Sara Duterte and Sen. Robinhood Padilla and former vice president and current Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo and Sen. Bam Aquino has narrowed, according to the latest Tugon ng Masa (TNM) survey of OCTA Research.
OCTA said the 12-point gap was the lowest recorded from the 20 to 25 points that was tallied in commissioned surveys conducted in 2025.
The latest results also showed that 16 percent of respondents remained undecided.
The survey was conducted from July 4 to 11, 2026, through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 male and female probability respondents aged 18 and above.
It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points at a 95 percent confidence level nationwide.
For Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, the margin of error is plus or minus 6 percentage points at a 95 percent confidence level.
OCTA described the TNM as an independent and non-partisan nationwide survey that it conducts regularly. The latest poll was non-commissioned and released as a public service.
