Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is demanding they pay what it takes to sign Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff.

The Daily Star says Solskjaer has urged executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to wrap up a deal for Newcastle's Longstaff before the club embark on their pre-season tour of Australia.

Reports suggested United were going to test Newcastle's resolve with a 15 million bid, but now Solskjaer has requested they meet the Toon's asking price of 20 million plus add ons to get the deal over the line.

The Red Devils have made signing Longstaff their priority and will go all out to complete a deal in the coming days.
