TAMBUNAN: The Early Registration Campaign for Disaster Victims has been introduced to make it easier for residents involved in disaster incidents to register online more quickly and efficiently.
District Officer, Sobitun Makajil, said this initiative uses an official mobile application that allows the public to register themselves and their family members with just a few clicks on their smartphones.
“The data sent will be received immediately by the disaster management to ensure that the distribution of aid can be made more systematically and accurately to the target,” he said in a briefing session on the National Disaster Management Policy and Mechanism here on Wednesday.
He stressed that the need to expand the campaign to the entire community in this district through the use of digital platforms is very important in speeding up relief actions during emergencies.
Sobitun said that this early registration needs to be announced to all the community here so that they can register online early.
“This will help us channel assistance more quickly and systematically to disaster victims,” he said.
He said that this campaign is hoped to strengthen community preparedness and increase the effectiveness of response when a disaster occurs.
“The public is encouraged to download the official application at: Apple App Store: myIBJKMGoogle Play Store: myIBJKM. Don’t wait too long, register now,” he said as a call to all residents of this district.
At the event, Sobitun also presented certificates of appreciation to government agencies involved in natural disaster management in this district.
