  • A BBC Studios spokesperson confirmed that Borthwick will not be returning to the programme.
  • His departure follows a suspension by the BBC in June for using a disabled slur on the set of Strictly Come Dancing.
  • The offensive remark was reportedly made in November at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom during filming for Strictly.
  • Borthwick earlier issued an apology for his words, while disability equality charity Scope condemned his language and urged him to educate himself.
