- Official figures show the outbreak has caused 2,744 deaths out of 5,713 confirmed cases across six provinces, representing a fatality rate of nearly 48 per cent.
- The World Health Organisation warned that the outbreak remains out of control due to ongoing conflict, population displacement, and healthcare worker strikes.
- The Ervebo jab, originally designed for the Zaire strain, is being administered under a compassionate-use programme to test its efficacy against the active Bundibugyo Ebola virus.
