
Kota Kinabalu: Two parties – one a Barisan Nasional component and the other part of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition – expressed shock over the 574,120 increase in voters over the last election four years ago.
Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah’s incumbent Pensiangan Member of Parliament Datuk Arthur Kurup said he was taken aback by the sudden and enormous jump in new voters.
“For Pensiangan, we are a very rural and remote area so to have an increase of 76.7 per cent is indeed very surprising.
