The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting searches at the premises of the Anil Agarwal-led multinational mining company Vedanta Group reportedly in connection with an alleged Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) case.

The searches, which reportedly began on June 1, are taking place at Vedanta offices in Delhi and Rajasthan, apart from some other locations, according to official sources.

Commenting on the searches, a Vedanta spokesperson said, “We are extending full cooperation to the authorities and are providing all information sought. The company remains committed to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. As the matter is currently under regulatory process, we are unable to comment further at this stage."
