- In solidarity with Macklemore, all remaining opening acts, including Finneas, Lukas Graham, and Aaron Rowe, alongside Sheeran’s backing band Beoga, have announced their withdrawal from the tour.
- Addressing the fallout, Sheeran stated that the removal was enforced by tour promoters and venue owners, including Gillette Stadium owner Robert Kraft, who threatened to pull shows if Macklemore remained on the bill.
- Despite the protests and the departure of his supporting acts, the remaining 18 dates of the tour across North and South America are scheduled to proceed until the final show in Mexico City in December.
