Soka International School Malaysia (SISM) in Seremban 2, Negeri Sembilan has been designated as the hub for promoting United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace, justice and strong institutions. The UN's Youth 2030 strategy calls on all entities to amplify and reinforce the voices of young people to establish regular engagement with the UN Secretary General. In this context, Dr. Daisaku Ikeda, President of Soka Gakkai International (SGI) in support of the SDGs would like to bring together educators and students from around the globe, accelerating momentum toward their achievement. Evidently, the setting-up of SISM nurturing value-creating global citizens is in line with building UN global society.

Fulfilling the invitation by Chairman of Yayasan Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM), Johnny Ng Teck Sim, a team from Global Sejahtera Initiative (SGI) comprising of Cyril Pereira, Kim, Yazdi Bankwala, Zarina and Dr. Zul visited SISM recently to learn in-depth about international curriculum, academic pathway, humanistic learning model, core subjects offered and co-curricular programs. They were impressed with SISM leaders' commitment that education be guided by human values with green facilities and environment.
