Egypt have left Mohamed Salah out of their squad for this month's friendlies in the UAE.
Salah was in the original squad, but was omitted from the final 25-man line-up.
He has been struggling with injury since January and Liverpool had requested Egypt leave him out of the tournament.
The situation had threatened to escalate before Sunday's squad announcement.
Egypt will play two games in Abu Dhabi between 22 and 26 March - against New Zealand and then either Croatia or Tunisia.
