
Air quality in eight locations across Johor, Negeri Sembilan, and Sarawak reached unhealthy API levels as of 4 pm today, according to APIMS.
KUALA LUMPUR: A total of eight locations recorded Air Pollutant Index (API) readings in the unhealthy category as of 4 pm today.
According to the Malaysian Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) portal, five areas in Johor involved Segamat (156), Batu Pahat (155), Kluang (152), Tangkak (151), and Larkin (111).
In Negeri Sembilan, the affected areas involved Nilai (151) and Seremban (146), while in Samarahan, Sarawak, the reading was 117.
Meanwhile, 57 areas were in the moderate category, while three areas recorded good readings.
An API reading of zero to 50 indicates good air quality, 51 to 100 moderate, 101 to 200 unhealthy, 201 to 300 very unhealthy, and an API exceeding 300 is at a hazardous level.
