TEP located at the edge of Taman Puncak Selatan, near Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), set across 70 acres of lush greeneries, offers a variety of services and facilities for public riding, as well as for competitions, stable tours, riding lessons and many more. My family and I have attended it hosted major equestrian and dressage events such as Premier Cup Series Horse Show in 2006 which drew more than 30 international and local clubs to Putrajaya, in addition to the FEI Asian World Cup qualifier, SUKMA, SEA games. I like best the scenery environment, polo competitions, training services, sports facilities for my grandchildren to learn horseback riding, hacking activities, and equestrian skills. My eldest grad-daughter, Iffah Faizah, 2nd year secondary student at a government boarding school up north Peninsula Malaysia, who returned home for the semester break in conjunction with the Aidiladha celebrations, really missed TEP activities, especially the delicious food at Ekues Cabin Cafe. So, her uncle, Farouq and auntie, Nadja Hanna brought Iffah together with her grandma, Zarina & I for a revisit of TEP and had breakfast at the cafe. I heard Iffah said to her grandma that “I still aspire for active participation representing Malaysia on the international equestrian stage in local & regional circuits.”

Iffah's grandma responded, “Surely you can achieve this by advancing your skills through certified riding academies, participating in national qualifiers & be trained directly by professional coach. To represent Malaysia, you must master foundational disciplines like Dressage, Show Jumping, and Endurance.”

I observed in Malaysia, primary & secondary academic schools do not typically own their own private equestrian facilities. Whereas, the top international and private schools establish direct partnership, co-curricular affiliations, and student program arrangements with established equestrian clubs, like TEP, to train future national athletes. Since Iffah's school does not have an active equestrian club, so her Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) can approach the authorized academies directly to cross-register under their school holiday camps, junior development clinics, or independent school-athlete pathways.
