I had a great learning experience joining 500 professionals and industry leaders at TMT x LE 2026 held at the University of Cyberjaya. This is the place where professional trainers, learning and development practitioners, educators & consultants come together to catch-up on the latest real-world insights. I enjoyed the networking with like-minded professional and industry leaders who shape the current practices and sharing ideas on the future of learning. I recall this exclusive annual event has been organized by SMR HR Group since 1985 originated from the initiative of its founder Tan Sri Dato' Dr. R. Palan. (https//smrhrgroup.com/tmtxle2026)

The highlight of this year TMT x LE is the candid presentation by Tan Sri Dr. Lim Wee Chai, a prominent Malaysian entrepreneur best known as Founder and Executive Chairman of Top Glove Corporation Bhd., which he built into the world's largest rubber glove manufacturer since 1991. He is significant for revolutionizing the glove industry, leading Top Glove to global market leadership & holding key leadership roles in Malaysian manufacturing associations.

As a major manufacturing exporter, Tan Sri Dr. Lim WC's leadership at Top Glove significantly impacts Malaysia's economy, serving over 2,000 customers in 195 countries. Evidently, he has earned numerous accolades, including the Master and Country Entrepreneur of Malaysia for the Year by Ernst & Young (2004) and Manufacturer Man of the Year 2013. Beyond business, he contributes to educational and medical causes, supporting and promoting research.

In his presentation, Tan Sri Lim posed us the question: “Do you want to be a student or a teacher? Why not both?” He suggested, “It is important to be humble enough to be a lifelong student to gain knowledge & improves. We must also be generous enough to teach & guide the people around us, so that we can improve together. As such, we Must Know, Must Do, Must Teach. As such, good leaders & staffers always ask many questions to get answers.”
