There is no need to get angry or confront other drivers on the road. If you witness someone cutting queues, running red lights, or misusing the emergency lane, you can take proper action through official channels.

Many people are still unaware that you can submit a formal traffic complaint directly using the MyJPJ mobile application. The Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ) has introduced a simple and legitimate digital platform that allows the public to report traffic violations without needing to visit an office or fill out lengthy forms.

With just your smartphone, you can submit evidence directly to the authorities for further action.

What Is the MyJPJ App?

MyJPJ is the official mobile application developed by JPJ. It provides users with several key services, including:

2. Select the ‘e-Aduan@JPJ’ Feature

  • Log in to the app
  • On the main screen, select the ‘e-Aduan@JPJ’ option

3. Choose the Type of Offence

  • Select the relevant traffic violation
  • Ensure you have supporting evidence ready

4. Fill in Incident Details

Provide complete and accurate information, including:

  • Vehicle registration number (mandatory)
  • Date, time, and location of the incident
  • Type of offence (selected from the list)
  • A brief description (e.g., “Vehicle cutting queue along Jalan Tun Razak towards KLCC”)
  • Attach clear photo or short video evidence (maximum 10MB)

Make sure the vehicle’s number plate is clearly visible in your evidence.

5. Review and Submit

  • Double-check all details provided
  • Submit the report
  • You will receive a notification or email confirming that your report has been received for review

What Happens After You Submit a Report?

JPJ will:

  • Assess the validity of the information and evidence provided
  • Conduct further investigation if the report is complete
  • Issue a summons to the vehicle owner if an offence is confirmed
