Elche have made a formal complaint against Barcelona over the fielding of Gavi for Saturday's 4-0 defeat.
Elche had complained about the presence of Gavi in the aftermath of the game and have now made their frustration formal. Elche are insisting Gavi should not have been allowed to play after being deregistered as a first team player due to Barca's financial fair play issues.
Both LaLiga and the RFEF insist Gavi was free to play, but Elche's legal team have lodged a formal complaint.
Barca will have until Monday to present evidence why Gavi was clear to be selected, reports Radio Cope.
