TAMPARULI: A 67-year-old man died after falling into a ravine while on his way to his farm in Kampung Kionsom Baru here on Friday.

The victim was believed to have slipped and fallen into a 150-metre ravine before he was found unconscious.

Tuaran Fire and Rescue Station chief Mohammad Nor Amit said his team received an emergency call regarding the incident at 8.14pm.

“The victim was confirmed dead at the scene, and his body was retrieved and handed over to police for further action,” he said, adding that the operation concluded at 10.40pm after ensuring the site was safe.
