
TAWAU: The body of an elderly man was found in a locked house in Taman Maju Jaya, Jalan Chong Thien Vun, on Saturday night.
Tawau Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Chief, Jemishin Ujin, said his team carried out an operation to open the locked door with special equipment and found the corpse which had started to swell.
According to him, the man’s body was handed over to the police before being taken to Tawau Hospital for a post-mortem.
Earlier, he said, an eight-member team and two machines were deployed to the scene of the incident after receiving a call at around 7.09pm.
