KUNAK: A 74-year-old man was killed while eight others, were injured after a Toyota Hiace van skidded off Jalan Bukit Ular along the Kunak-Lahad Datu road early this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department received the distress call at 7.19 am, and a team from the Kunak station arrived at the scene about 30 minutes later.
The elderly male victim was found trapped in the driver’s seat and was extricated using hydraulic tools. He was later confirmed dead at the scene.

All received initial treatment on-site by Bomba and Health Ministry personnel before being sent to the hospital for further care.
